Frequently asked questions

Do you take insurance?

Yes. We accept most major insurance plans, including SelectHealth, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield, with in-network and out-of-network options. For NeuroStar TMS, coverage is available through nearly all major insurers. We’re always happy to help you verify your specific benefits.

What services do you offer?

The Counseling & Treatment Center of Utah is a full-service practice offering individual, family, couples, and group therapy; comprehensive psychological and autism evaluations; NeuroStar TMS for depression and OCD; and neurofeedback — for children, adolescents, and adults, in Springville and by telehealth.

How do I get started?

The easiest first step is to request an appointment through our contact form or by calling (801) 804-1028. Many services also start with a free 15-minute consultation so you can see whether we’re the right fit. We’ll match you with the right provider and get you scheduled.

Do you offer telehealth (online therapy)?

Yes. We see therapy clients by secure video telehealth anywhere in Utah, and in person at our Springville office. In-office visits are required for TMS and neurofeedback, which use on-site equipment.

What is NeuroStar TMS, and is it covered by insurance?

NeuroStar TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive, drug-free treatment for depression and OCD that uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate the areas of the brain that regulate mood. It has no medication side effects, sessions take about 18–20 minutes, and most major insurers cover it. You can complete a quick assessment to see if you qualify.

What ages do you work with?

Our providers work with children, adolescents, and adults. Several clinicians specialize in kids and teens, and our psychologists evaluate all ages.

Do you prescribe medication?

No. We are an outpatient practice providing therapy, psychological evaluations, and device-based treatments (TMS and neurofeedback) — we do not prescribe or sell medication. If medication may help, we’re glad to coordinate with your physician or a psychiatric provider. NeuroStar TMS offers a proven, drug-free alternative for depression.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

We’re welcoming new clients and work to get you started quickly. Reach out through our contact form or call (801) 804-1028, and we’ll typically match you with the right provider within one business day.

Do I need a referral to be seen?

No referral is needed to start therapy, TMS, neurofeedback, or an evaluation with us — you can reach out directly. Some insurance plans may require a referral for certain services, and we’ll help you check that when we verify your benefits.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes. Many of our services begin with a free 15-minute consultation so you can ask questions and see whether we’re the right fit before you commit.

Do you see children and teenagers?

Yes. Our providers work with children, adolescents, and adults. Several clinicians specialize in kids and teens, we offer a children’s play area, and our psychologists evaluate all ages.

Do you offer therapy in Spanish?

Yes. We have bilingual providers who offer therapy and evaluations in Spanish (and Farsi), in our Springville office and by telehealth across Utah.

Where are you located and what are your hours?
